Before you plan all your holiday this summer then you might want to have a look at the Euro 2016 schedule. This summer will be tough to plan a vacation. Unless you have France or Rio de Janeiro on the ticket there is a good chance your holiday will interfere with one of the two big sports events this summer – the European Championship and the Olympics. 

Three games per day in the Euro 2016!

During the group-stage in the Euro 2016 we will have three games everyday. The first is played at 15.00, the next at 18.00 and finally we end the day with a nine o’clock showdown. These are central European times.

With four teams in each of the six groups there is a total of 36 games, which are split into three rounds with a total of 12 games. The first game of Euro 2016 is on the 10th of June 2016 and the last group-stage is played on the 22nd of June. 

Knock-out starts on June 25

With the Euro group-stages settled the excitement starts on June 25 when the 1/8-finals start. On the 25th, 26th, and 27th of June the round of sixteen is played, with a kick-off time at 15.00, 18.00 and 21.00.

The quarterfinals start on June 30th and have one game each day for four days. All games start at 21.00. The Euro semi-finals are played on Wednesday and Thursday July 6th & 7th at 21.00. The Euro Final 2016 is played in Paris Sunday July the 10th also at nine o’clock CET.

Here are the most important dates and times for Euro 2016

  • 10.06: 21.00 – France – Romania  (opening game)
  • 25.06-27.06: 18.00 – 1/8 finals
  • 30.06-03.07: 21.00 – Quarterfinals  
  • 06.07-07.07: 21.00 – Semi-finals
  • 10.07: 21.00 – The Euro Final
